Hello again, today I bring a mesh of a few ideas Ive been tinkering with. It was a poem I wrote a few years back. Ive played it as a song a couple different ways but really have never set anything in stone. This weeks version was inspired by the looming weather. I cant put my finger on what song im channeling in the start. If you can recognize it I would be interested in finding out where I heard it. rhythm from the song I wrote last week. Trying to compile this accumulation of songs and get them onto tape. If you’de like one, send me your address. Looking for any critiques and sleeve art suggestions. spanks
Found the church image while wandering the internet, and immediately thought of a good use for it. One of those moments when you are at the mercy of a sudden idea…
This was done in one night, definately needs something still….
Anyway, thoughts, critiques, ideas all welcome. Thanks.

P.S. Artie took this pic of me ‘n’ Angelo in a weird hostel in Olympia, WA.
Recorded this about 2hours ago, i think it needs some live drums. Totally incomplete. not sure what i was going for really. I guess im trying to think about it less and just put it out there. Still rlly wanna connect remix ponyails with ya’ll….
Oh, hey. Good to see you again. I don’t really have an appropriate space for recording right now, which I’m going to use as an excuse for my lack of productivity. But! Tomorrow I’m starting a band. And so I was looking over some of my old recordings to play as a group and found this mopey little number in the archives. I was really happy with the instrumental bit at the end when I first finished it. Maybe you can find some pleasurable aspects in its composition. In other news, I’m attempting a sort of song writing experiment this weekend. I’ll be spending a couple of days holed up in an abandoned military compound along the Oregon coast. Since closing its doors after 84 years of operation, “Fort Stevens,” has since become a state park. Oregon has a really great State Park system and puts together these little promo videos for each one. Skip to “2:45″ and you’ll see some of the installations. They’re ghostly and wonderful. Until next time, I wish you all the best.

hey everyone. im curious to see who would be interested in forming some type of remix chain for discrete, casual, and DD Free collabo-ing. Think of the game ‘telephone’ but instead using our forgotten or ill conceived bedroom MP3s. Now I KNOW some of you have song skeletons sleeping in your hard drives and are holding a little too tightly to these inspiring gems. Release I say! So i am proposing this; post a song of yours in its original, incomplete format and also make available thru download. Perhaps for now this can just be via email. Let’s chop and screw each others material, then see what comes out the other end. I know most of you have basic music editing software. This is only a suggestion but I think that finding projects we can all work on together is fun-er. Furthermore, I think working together will increase the quality of our own ideas and the ideas of this site. I didn’t add a track because i want to see if you guys think this is a feasible idea. I will certainly get the ball rolling but if anyone knows they have a song they want to work on we can start there. Hope to hear form you.
I’ve been a bit strapped for time this week, so I thought I would feature the work of one of my talented 4th graders. I am always trying to fit in projects that have the kids drawing. Not only is it an easy lesson to plan, but most of what they turn out is awesome and hilarious.
Here’s a quick sketch of a new song I’m working on in anticipation of my first show here in Seattle on Friday. It’s called Watercolor No. 1. Angelo Ramos is featured on snare and hi-hat (because they’re the only two drums I have). Matt was kind enough to design a poster for the show, so many thanks to him as well.
